Jimmy’s Why

As a young boy, Jimmy thought he might grow up to be a pastor or even a lawyer, but found himself in the music and radio business. But none of those were fulfilling why God put him on this planet. He eventually found his true purpose while adopting his son, River, from Rwanda, Africa. After adopting his son, he made a promise to help every orphan in Rwanda find a permanent home.

At the same time, he was introduced to a small village where the people lived in extreme poverty. Their lack of access to any type of education meant they would most likely never climb from the pit of poverty. So, keeping his promise to his son River, he started his charity non-profit, River’s Promise to help the children of Rwanda receive education and assist the many widows who take care of these children have homes for them to live.
